COMMANDER?S MESSAGE
Don?t forget our Memorial; you can have your name, ship or unit put on a brick. Prices are $35 for a 4x8 brick or $50 for an 8x8 brick.
Members of the VFW you will receive up to 20% off best available rates at participating Wyndham Worldwide Family hotels. Give the agent the special discount ID number 62615 at time of booking to receive the discount.
You can still get a BJ?s card for $20 a year; stop in the office and sign up.
It is that time again, time to be thinking about who you would like to run your post; Commander, Senior Vice, Junior Vice and so on. Nominations will start in March and end in April with election of new officers which will take over in June when new State Commander takes office.
We are having problems with the back door. Please do not pull on the door without using your key card. Some people are just yanking on the door to open, yanking just makes it worse. The management is in the process of having it repaired.
For $35 you can show pride in your membership in the VFW by purchasing a license plate. Sixty percent of the revenue from the sale of the VFW plate will support the Voice of Democracy, Patriots Pen and ROTC programs. In addition to supporting VFW youth programs, your purchase will help support the Florida National Guard Foundation, our citizen soldiers and their families and your fellow veterans. Pre-sale vouchers are available at the county tax collector office and DMV tag agencies.

Commander

LADIES? AUXILIARY NEWS
Hello Ladies,
Wow! Thank you to all the ladies, VFW members, and guests who have made our last two dinners so successful. Both were complete sell outs. Our next event is the annual Flea market which will be held inside the Post on March 19th. Please contact Nancy Imboden for table rentals and information pertaining to this. It was a huge fund raiser for Wounded Warriors last year and hopefully it will benefit the veterans in need again this year with your support.
Christine Davis, Sr Vice, was greatly surprised at our Valentine's Dinner/Dance when she was crowned "Queen for a Night". It was a well kept secret. The golf package that was one of her raffles went to Rita Surtees and the week-end in Palm Beach was won by Vincent Carney. We hope that they enjoy their prizes.
Our year is starting to wound down and we hope that some of you ladies reading this consider becoming more involved next year. First round of nominations will take place in March. Hope to see all there.
Sincerely,
Rosemary Ayers President
